YIWU is located in the center of Zhejiang province，lies in the south of Shanghai and Hangzhou, the distance from Shanghai to Yiwu is 300 km, from Hangzhou to Yiwu is only 120 km. Guangdong Province and Fujian Province is to the south, Shanghai Economic Zone is on the north, Ningbo port is near on the east. Yiwu enjoys a favorable place for developing and investing of economy.

2. Where is the China Yiwu International Commodities Fair?

The Fair is in the China Commodity City Expo Center, which located in the intersection of Zongze Road and Jiangdong East Road. The No.804 from the train station goes directly to the Center.

3. Which kind of products will be shown in the fair?

China Yiwu Fair is approved by PRC State Council, and is jointly organized by the People's Republic of China Ministry of Commerce, and Zhejiang Province People's Government.

There are 5,000 booths of international standards with the participation of more than 2500 brands in the exhibition, 95% of which signed up directly to attend the exhibition. Such structure of the exhibitors helps traders with negotiation, reducing the intermediate proceeding and the business cost. A lot of commodities will be shown in the fair including 15 different industries, such as stationery, sports and outdoor items, toys, knit goods , footwear and headgear ,leather ,cases & bags, electronic and electrical appliances, hardware, auto products, cosmetic and lavatory articles, ornaments and fittings, craftworks, daily-use items, web information and so on.

There are 4,500 booths of international standards in a floor space of 100,000 m2. It is the largest daily commodities fair on scale.

4. What is the date of the Fair?

The Yiwu Fair will be held on 21-25 October, 2009. And all of the Yiwu markets open almost everyday except the holiday of New Year.

5. Could you please tell me something about markets in Yiwu?

The China Commodity City consists of a group of specialized markets, such as Binwang Market, International Trade City, Electric Appliance Market, Communication Market and Computer Market, together with lots of specialized streets, such as Bra Specialized Street, Leather Suitcase and Bags Specialized Street, Stationery Specialized Street, etc.

6. Could you introduce the industries in Yiwu?

There are eight leading industries: rag trade, knitting sector, accessories, color printing, slide fastener, toy, hardware, print, wool spinning.

7. What about the China Yiwu International Trade City specially?

Yiwu International Trade City is located in Yiwu Chouzhou Road, which is the well-known for the fifth China Commodity City. International Trade City area planning are 32.4 square kilometers, and the business area of the International Trade City Phase Ⅰ，Ⅱ，Ⅲ，Ⅳ occupied 4 million square meters area, with more than 62,000 booths. It sets up 16 industries with 4,202 categories for over 1.7 million types of products such as the toys, flowers, ornaments, jewelry, hardware, arts & crafts, electronics, electrical appliances, raingear, cosmetics, bags, watches & glasses, and sports products etc. Here lays a good assortment of (goods) which is filling at the price. It was honored as “Contract Abiding Trustworthy Enterprise”. Besides, China Commodity City was granted as “National Model market of Credit Supervision” by the State General Administration for Quality Supervision and Inspection and Quarantine, and Quarantine, and it was also awarded as the”Value Quality Honor Credibility” by the State General Administration for Quality Supervision and Inspection and Quarantine, and it was also awarded as the “Value Quality Honor Credibility” by the State Administration Bureau of Industry and Commerce.

In 2005, approved by the National Tourism Administration, Yiwu International Trade City won the first 4 A state-level tourist shopping district for there have excellent market environment built with central air conditioning, digital broadband, a hotel management, complete and comfortable tourism services and facilities. We established a large 10,000 square meters shopping tourism centers with more than 4,000 recommended booths, a touch-screen guiding system, three tourist shopping reception centre, the China Commodity City development Museum, and the large-scale parking lots, and the market Link bus and sight-seeing bus. In 2007, shopping tourism person amounted to 4.843 million, and was rated” the most worthy scenic spots among 50 ones in Zhejiang Province.

There are abundant shopping resources in Yiwu International Trade City, the city is an exhibition platform for high-end consumer goods to enter the international market and China’s re-exports trades. Here sets up the Korea Hall, The American Hall, the Hong Kong and Taiwan Hall etc., which gathered various commodities form over ten countries and regions like Germany, Britain, Japan, the United States, and Switzerland etc. The California wine, South Korea’s jewelry, clothing, utensils, nail clippers, Germany’s hardware products, Swiss army knife, South Africa, ebony and other crafts. 8.I want to know the traffic in Yiwu.

The highways, railways and airlines consist of the traffic net of Yiwu. Yiwu Airport has 4C level departing planes 24 hours a day. Big and middle size planes like Boeing 707 land here. Planes depart from the middle size airport and fly to Guangzhou, Beijing, Shantou, Xiamen, Shenzhen and Shanghai (during the Fair time), etc. As a national second level station, Yiwu Railway Station offers good services and convenient facilities. And over 110 trains stop at this station every day.

Yiwu enjoys convenient highway traffic net to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo and Wenzhou. There are over 18 train lines run to different provinces in the country, and about 81 to different counties in province, over 50 to different towns in Yiwu, and more than 30 shuttle buses inside Yiwu city.

China Yiwu International Commodities Fair: The Largest Fair of General Merchandise in China Yiwu Fair has been held for 14 successive years since 1995. It is held in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province in October every year. In 2002, it was upgraded as an international commodity fair. Since then, the event has been jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government and other relevant authorities. The Yiwu Fair, as a highly internationalized and informative event with excellent services and security, has become one of the largest, most influential and most productive commodities fairs in China. It has become the third largest exhibition sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, ranking only next to the China Import and Export Fair in Guangzhou and the East China Fair in Shanghai. The fair was honored as China’s Best Managed Exhibition in 2005, one of the 2006 Top Ten Exhibitions in China, China’s Best-Outcome Exhibition in 2006, and the 2007 Top Quality Exhibition in Yangtze River Delta in China.

Provided with subtropical monsoon climate, Yiwu has four clear seasons, relaxing climate, abundant sunshine, with yearly average temperature 17.2℃ rainfalls 1403.1mm, and humidity 76%. As the gold Autumn, October is best time to hold fairs with the advantage of monthly average temperature 18.7℃, rainfalls 67.7mm, humidity 77%, it is the gold season for trade traveling in the refreshing air, breezing wind and sunshine.

There are many foreign businessmen in Yiwu. So if you come here, don’t worry about the food. 15. What is the attendance procedure for foreign businessmen?

After businessmen arrive in Yiwu, a trade badge will be provided as the result of registration. Free entrance to the exhibition halls of the Yiwu Trade Fair will be given to badge holders. When registering, the following should be supplied:

You can get the special line of bus or taxi to get to the Shanghai South Station (Train station). It will take less than 4 hours from Shanghai to Yiwu.
